Selling Electricity is a marketplace for people with rooftop solar, a home battery, or an electric car who want to sell the power they are not using. The old site did not look like a product people would trust with their money. It needed a new face and a new foundation at the same time.
The job
Redesign the site from scratch, rebuild it on a modern stack, and add a real account login without giving up the speed of a static site.
What was built
- A new visual identity for the site: bold type, a bright two-color palette, and a live-market dashboard on the homepage
- An interactive payout estimator so visitors can see what their own setup might earn before signing up
- The marketing pages ship as static Astro, so they load instantly and cost almost nothing to serve
- Account login and the dynamic parts run on Cloudflare Workers, dropped into the static pages as Astro islands. The site stays static everywhere it can and goes live only where it must
- Hosting and ongoing care by Digital Anchor
Why it matters
This is the pattern most small businesses actually want: a site that looks current, loads fast, and can still do real application work where the business needs it. No heavyweight framework, no server to babysit.
